Welcome to the home page of my Election 2010 website. Here is a brief outline of my personal life here in Wasaga Beach:

I have been in Wasaga Beach every year of my life, as my family vacationed here every summer. My grandparents moved to Wasaga in 1960 and my own family followed in 1968. I completed high school at Collingwood Collegiate, and my first summer job was at the Dyconia at age 16. I attended York University, but had to give up my university dreams, returning home to help my grandmother due to her failing health. I began my real estate career in Wasaga Beach in 1971, and operated and managed a brokerage until 1995 when I formed my own real estate company. I My wife Mary and I have raised four children, all attending Worlsey Public School and CCI. In addition to my business activities in the community, I am an active member of Rotary, the Wasaga Cruisers and the Builders’ Association. I belong to various organizations and committees through my role as a councillor, and enjoy downhill skiing, snowmobiling and golfing.

I have a history of volunteering and serving our community. Wasaga has been good to our family and I ask for your vote to continue giving back.

I AM OPPOSED TO AND HAVE CONSISTENTLY VOTED AGAINST THE PROPOSED SEWER/WATER RATE INCREASES.

WE NEED A RED CARPET, NOT THE RED TAPE! THE PROVINCE HAS A TREND OF PUTTING BUREAUCRATS ABOVE YOUR ELECTED COUNCIL, i.e. CONSERVATION AUTHORITIES, GREEN ENERGY ACT AND PLACES TO GROW ACT.

I AM AN ADVOCATE OF A HIGH SCHOOL FOR WASAGA BEACH.

I feel strongly that as a council representative, communication with you, the taxpayer, is very important as we work together to continue to make Wasaga Beach the best place to live, work and play. I have provided several links on this site, the most important being the Town’s own website. It is a wealth of information for our residents, and I hope you access it often.
